Indigo IT believes that it is important to give back to the communities in which their employees work and live. Since inspiring healthy lifestyles and encouraging local children to be active is important to the company, they are proud to sponsor Great Falls Rugby.
“We are happy to play a role in promoting youth rugby in Northern Virginia,” said Shane van Wyngaardt, Indigo IT’s Executive Vice President and Co-Founder. “Through this great club, children can succeed both on and off the field.”
Great Falls Rugby is a youth club that plays in the spring and summer months with teams in the Rugby Virginia League. It was founded in 2011 by Buzz McClain to fill a void in the Great Falls, Reston, Herndon, Sterling and McLean areas for youth rugby. That same year, it hosted the first-ever multi-team rugby tournament in Great Falls. At the end of 2012, reins were passed to Gary Coetzee, who has been running the club ever since.
