Indigo IT Receives HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award

RESTON, VA. November 12, 2021 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized Indigo IT as one of the 849 recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. Indigo IT earned the gold award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

“We are deeply honored to receive such a meaningful award”, said Denise Garcia Van Wyngaardt, CEO of Indigo IT. “We hold the highest respect for our Veteran community and are dedicated to supporting their professional success.”

Recipients of the 2021 HIRE Vets Medallion Award meet rigorous employment and veteran integration assistance criteria, including veteran hiring and retention percentages; availability of veteran-specific resources; leadership programming for veterans; dedicated human resource efforts; pay compensation and tuition assistance programs for veterans. More than 1,400 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award since 2018.

Indigo IT Ranks on Washington Technology Fast 50 List

RESTON, VA. November 4, 2021 – Indigo IT was recognized on the 2021 Washington Technology Fast 50 list, ranking at #47 with a 21.1% annual growth rate. For nearly 20 years, the Fast 50 list has held great significance in highlighting the fastest growing small businesses in the federal sector. The list also considers criteria such as company leadership, service offerings, and major customers when determining the annual rankings.

RESTON, VA. August 17, 2021 – Inc. magazine revealed today that Indigo IT is No. 4,274 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. This achievement marks the company’s second consecutive year of being recognized on this esteemed list of the country’s quickest-growing private companies.

Indigo IT Awarded DHS USCIS O365 Migration Support Services Task

RESTON, VA. August 10, 2021 – Indigo IT was awarded a task order to provide Office 365 (O365) Transition and Operational Readiness Support Services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This 1-year, $3.3 million contract will allow Indigo IT to continue providing USCIS with support in operating and optimizing their O365 cloud collaboration environment.

“The enablement of the USCIS O365 environment has helped to increase collaboration, streamline operations, and allow for continuity of operations during the global pandemic,” said Abby Smith, Project Manager for Indigo IT’s USCIS O365 contract. “This is a great opportunity to show the benefits of the O365 platform, while ensuring continued operations.”

Indigo IT takes pride in the solutions they provide for USCIS. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Indigo IT assisted USCIS with continuity of operations using the O365 platform. The O365 platform was mission-critical in assimilating to a telework model and allowing USCIS to continue to work during the pandemic. With the help of Indigo IT’s team, a process was developed and implemented where immigration interviews were conducted on iPads using Microsoft Teams, allowing USCIS to continue to have these interviews safely and continue the work that supports the organization.

Indigo IT Awarded New GSA Multiple Award Schedule

RESTON, VA. August 4, 2021 – Indigo IT was awarded with a new GSA Multiple Award Schedule (MAS) with the Cloud and Cloud-Related IT Professional Services SIN (541210C) and IT Professional Services SIN (54151S). This 20-year contract will allow Indigo IT to provide Cloud and IT professional services to local, state, and Federal customers.

Indigo IT Awarded Navy SeaPort Next Generation Contract

RESTON, VA. July 29, 2021 – Indigo IT was recently awarded the U.S. Navy’s Seaport Next Generation (NxG) Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This contract includes a two and a half-year base period with one five-year option period, and the government anticipates $5 billion in task order awards annually. The contract will allow Indigo IT to support the Department of the Navy through engineering and program management services.

The engineering services category covers functional areas, such as engineering, system engineering and safety and process engineering support; software engineering, development, programming and network support; modeling, simulation, stimulation and analysis support.

Functional areas under the program management services category include financial analysis and budget support; quality assurance support; functional and direct programmatic administrative support; logistics support; and professional development and training support.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to support the Navy through SeaPort NxG. It represents a critical tool for us as a small business and we are eager to begin offering high-quality solutions to task order requests,” said Clint Cates, Indigo IT IDIQ Program Manager.

Indigo IT Named As Finalist in 2021 Moxie Awards

Indigo IT Celebrates 2020 Giving Initiative

Indigo IT has proudly held an annual tradition of sponsoring a company-wide giving initiative during the holiday season, where employees are encouraged to donate to either of two selected nonprofit organizations, which the company then matches. This year, Indigo IT selected two nonprofit organizations to support: LINK Against Hunger (LINK) and Willing Warriors. Both of these charities are local to Northern Virginia; LINK being in Sterling, Virginia, and Willing Warriors in Haymarket, Virginia.

While this initiative is long-standing at Indigo IT, this year was especially significant to executive leadership in light of COVID-19. “This past year, while we always find joy in sponsoring our annual Giving Initiative, we felt a different tone when selecting this year’s supported nonprofit organizations,” said Denise Garcia Van Wyngaardt, CEO of Indigo IT. “We have so many communities and so many families who have been hit extremely hard by the continued effects of the pandemic, and we wanted to be sure that the donations our team members kindly contribute would help where it is needed most. We are continually moved every year by the generosity of our employees, and our Holiday Giving Initiative is one of the top highlights of our year.”

Indigo IT and its employees contributed a grand total of $7,520 this year to LINK and Willing Warriors.

Supported primarily by donations of food and funds, LINK is an all-volunteer organization, comprised of dedicated churches, organizations, and individuals serving the Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn, Virginia communities. Willing Warriors is a charitable organization offering cost-free getaways from the hospital environment where the warriors and their families can come to relax, spend quality time together, and reconnect. Their programs include more than 60 cost-free educational and recreational activities, including seminars that address the issues of dealing with PTS and TBI. The intended outcome of these retreat stays is the warrior and their family members return to the routine of rebuilding their lives feeling refreshed and inspired.

Indigo IT Announces New Website Launch

RESTON, VA. – January 4, 2021 — After much anticipation, Indigo IT has launched their newly designed website! The new site features a clean and contemporary design, streamlined navigation, improved functionality, and a vast amount of new content. The website also sports a reinvigorated theme, complete with customized graphics and sleek design elements, which adds to the overall flow of the site.

Indigo IT worked with Design in DC, a Washington, D.C. based web design firm, to complete this project.
