Indigo IT Receives 2022 Hire Vets Medallion Award From The U.S. Department Of Labor

HERNDON, VA. November 9, 2022 – U.S. Secretary of Labor Martin J. Walsh recognized Indigo IT as one of the 835 recipients of the 2022 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. Indigo IT earned the gold award for the second year in a row. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

More than 1,400 employers have earned a HIRE Vets Medallion Award since 2018.

Indigo IT CEO Makes WPO Women 2 Watch List for Second Consecutive Year

Indigo IT Makes 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia List

RESTON, VA. January 31, 2022 – Indigo IT was recently named as one of the 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia. The annual list of the Best Places to Work in Virginia was created by Virginia Business Magazine and Best Companies Group.

This statewide survey and awards program is designed to identify, recognize, and honor the best places of employment in Virginia, benefiting the state’s economy, workforce, and businesses. The 2022 Best Places to Work in Virginia list consists of 100 companies.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in Virginia. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company’s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. This part of the process was worth approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process in Virginia and also analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final ranking.

Indigo IT Awarded DHS USCIS O365 Migration Support Services Task

RESTON, VA. August 10, 2021 – Indigo IT was awarded a task order to provide Office 365 (O365) Transition and Operational Readiness Support Services to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This 1-year, $3.3 million contract will allow Indigo IT to continue providing USCIS with support in operating and optimizing their O365 cloud collaboration environment.

“The enablement of the USCIS O365 environment has helped to increase collaboration, streamline operations, and allow for continuity of operations during the global pandemic,” said Abby Smith, Project Manager for Indigo IT’s USCIS O365 contract. “This is a great opportunity to show the benefits of the O365 platform, while ensuring continued operations.”

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Indigo IT assisted USCIS with continuity of operations using the O365 platform. The O365 platform was mission-critical in assimilating to a telework model and allowing USCIS to continue to work during the pandemic. With the help of Indigo IT’s team, a process was developed and implemented where immigration interviews were conducted on iPads using Microsoft Teams, allowing USCIS to continue to have these interviews safely and continue the work that supports the organization.

Indigo IT Awarded Navy SeaPort Next Generation Contract

RESTON, VA. July 29, 2021 – Indigo IT was recently awarded the U.S. Navy’s Seaport Next Generation (NxG) Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract. This contract includes a two and a half-year base period with one five-year option period, and the government anticipates $5 billion in task order awards annually. The contract will allow Indigo IT to support the Department of the Navy through engineering and program management services.

The engineering services category covers functional areas, such as engineering, system engineering and safety and process engineering support; software engineering, development, programming and network support; modeling, simulation, stimulation and analysis support.

Functional areas under the program management services category include financial analysis and budget support; quality assurance support; functional and direct programmatic administrative support; logistics support; and professional development and training support.

“We are very excited for the opportunity to support the Navy through SeaPort NxG. It represents a critical tool for us as a small business and we are eager to begin offering high-quality solutions to task order requests,” said Clint Cates, Indigo IT IDIQ Program Manager.
