Infrastructure Analysis and Planning

Because Indigo IT actively recruits senior talent, our engineers have the background in all lifecycle phases of a large enterprise system deployment.   This includes identification of IT strategies to support business requirements, technical requirements development, conceptual architecture development, budgeting, design, deployment and support.  Our depth of experience in this area helped us develop an assessment methodology that typically includes a five-step approach incorporating:

  • Systems requirements based on review of business strategies and business, technical, and governance requirements
  • Development of “as-is” documentation based on multi-faceted data collection methods to include one-on-one interviews, configuration management data, system configuration data, and automated benchmarking
  • Thorough gap-analysis and high-level analysis of alternatives
  • Development of recommendations and “to-be” architecture with traceability to all business, technical, and governance requirements
  • Development of transitional, phased-architecture based on approved recommendations

We have applied this framework on behalf of Senior IT Leadership at many of our clients.  Assessments have included:

  • Performance and scaling analyses
  • Enterprise Identity Management strategies
  • Evaluation of enterprise administration models to include Service Level Management and FTE analysis and assessments
  • Network assessment and bandwidth analysis to include IPv6 readiness assessments based on OMB Memorandum 05-22
